The Historical Society will host 2 events during Starry Starry Weekend!
Annual Art Show & Sale: Last Chance Night
Friday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Featuring live music and light refreshments on Friday! The 19th Annual Art Show & Sale features the works of more than 50 regional artisans with original works in oil, watercolors, acrylics, etching, fiber arts, pottery, silkscreen, basketry, glass, photography, beadwork and more. Free admission.
Family Program Mosaics To Go with Lizz Van Saun
Saturday from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Local mosaic artist Lizz Van Saun of Kast Hill Studio will demonstrate a simple mosaic technique and participants (aged 9 years or older, ages 6-8 years need to have adult assistance) will make a postcard-sized mosaic to take home. Pre-register by Nov. 27 as space is limited to 12 participants. Cost is $5 for members and $10 for non-members.

During Starry Starry Weekend, you can take a factory tours of the candle manufacturer at 2 p.m. each day. This is first-come, first-serve and limited to 20 people.

You can also shop at The Marketplace, the retail gift shop within the factory that boasts everything from fair-trade items to local artisan crafts, where there will be some special sales and refreshments during Starry Starry Weekend.

Christmas at the Depot Artisan Fair

Formerly known as Handmade Holidays, this sale of handmade crafts from approximately 25 local artists will take place at the old train depot in the center of Contoocook. A portion of the proceeds will go to support Contoocook Riverway, the organization that runs the Depot.
